Our Approach

Rather than building new neighborhoods or new contruction, we focus on restoring the ones that already exist, one home at a time.

Seeing Potential Where Others See Blight

Every project begins with an overlooked home.

We identify vacant, abandoned, and/or distressed properties that still have the potential to become safe, beautiful homes once again. Through thoughtful rehabilitation, we preserve the character of existing neighborhoods while breathing new life into homes that might otherwise remain empty.

By restoring existing housing, we're not just renovating properties; we're helping reduce neighborhood blight, preserve community character, and create opportunities where they're needed most.

More Than a Renovation

Every home we restore represents more than new paint, updated flooring, or modern fixtures.

It represents a family putting down roots.
A neighborhood gaining momentum.
A vacant house becoming a home once again.

Because when people and places thrive together, entire communities grow stronger.

Community Partnerships Drive Our Work

We know lasting change doesn't happen alone.

That's why we collaborate with local nonprofits, lenders, contractors, volunteers, and community development corporations. â€‹We are committed to preserving the character of neighborhoods and maximizing every dollar invested in a home.

Whether through donated materials, volunteer labor, grants, or financial partnerships, our work is strengthened by people who believe that thriving neighborhoods begin with stable homes.

Who we Serve

Many residents earn too much to qualify for traditional affordable housing programs but still struggle to afford homeownership in today's market.

Roots & Haven exists to help bridge that gap.

By restoring existing homes and partnering with local lenders, housing organizations, and community partners, we create affordable homeownership opportunities for individuals and families earning approximately 60%–120% of the Area Median Income.
